Oct. 2, 2022 – WASHINGTON, D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Vít Jedlička undertook an official visit to the U.S. in Washington D.C. at the invitation of the Government Blockchain Association (GBA).
GBA is a prestigious think tank advising many state and non-state parties on the further development of governance by blockchain, including and not limited to election frameworks, transparent data storage, data security, and other topics important in this rapidly developing field.
The President was a keynote speaker at GBA’s Blockchain & Infrastructure 2022 conference held at the National Press Club. Speaking on building resilient election systems, he shared his insights as the leader of the first nation to create a digital election system without needing to transition from a legacy physical system.
The world is confronted with new challenges as the traditional models for governance fail to adapt to the new realities of this century.
The President had much to say, as he has been instrumental in designing the voting system for the Liberland Smart Chain, the Liberland-sponsored public blockchain on which the Liberland government will run its online presence.
The advantages of being unencumbered by transition allow Liberland to surge to the forefront of modernizing government operations. The country seeks to become an example for others in how to secure e-elections and ensure proper representation and government-citizen feedback loops.
His presentation was, judging from the reactions, exceptionally well-received. His visit was supported by the U.S. Liberland team, led by U.S. Liberland Representative Dave Molineaux.
