Fascinated by NFTs, Abel Sebhatu decided to fix the issue of complexity and difficulty surrounding their production. In short, he wanted the process of creating an NFT to be as easy as sending a message.
His background is technical, having studied mathematics and mathematical engineering, and for the six years prior to founding his NFT platform, he worked in a mixture of sectors, some outside crypto and some directly related. His non-crypto work was with a start-up in the Netherlands helping small farmers in the developing world become more productive. In the crypto world he worked with decentralized storage, DeFi and NFTs.
His interest in crypto stretched back to college where his software engineering teacher told him about Bitcoin in 2017. He gave the class the project of building on DuckCoin in the middle of the ICO hype.
“I was really interested. He taught us about the philosophy of money and after the assignment I did some research. I started with Bitcoin, then moved to Ethereum and was basically hooked.”
At the heart of Sebhatu’s platform Atriv.ai is the vision to make NFTs simple. Artists using the site are introduced to a studio where they can experiment with prompts to make art in the form of NFTs.
“The push is to use technology to simplify the tokenization of art.”
Users start their journey on the platform by experimenting with prompts to create unique artwork. Once they’re happy with the results, they can generate multiple pieces based on the final prompt, forming a collection. The next step involves setting up their smart contract needs and uploading this collection to IPFS, generating metadata in the process. This metadata is then linked with the smart contract, which is ready for deployment. Once the smart contract is live, users can set up their own mint page to display their artwork. A special URL is created for this page, which can be shared with friends. Alternatively, users can choose to list their NFTs on our marketplace using a process known as ‘lazy minting’. Atriv.ai provides a simple, comprehensive solution that enables users to transform their creativity into NFTs with ease.

“Atriv’s NFT Marketplace.”
Atriv’s all-in-one NFT platform is designed to realize the full potential of digital art by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). The platform acts as a comprehensive solution for artists, businesses, and collectors, simplifying the process of creating and issuing NFTs.
“Artists can send the custom URL to their friends and community and encourage them to mint and purchase their NFTs. We want to make it so easy that even your grandmother can do it.”
Sebhatu chose to partner with Flare blockchain for his project. Asked why, he is very clear.
“Flare is a very interesting blockchain with many great features. Its focus on thrustless data acquisition from other chains and the internet was a big factor in our decision to come to Flare. The core protocols enable interoperability and we want to help our community create anywhere and have the ability to collect payments in different currencies.”
By making art creation and tokenization more accessible, Atriv.ai will encourage a new wave of digital artists and collectors to join the Flare community. Its integration with Flare will bring powerful NFT capabilities to the Layer 1 network and enable creators to devise unique NFT collections with no technical experience required.
Furthermore, Atriv.ai will be utilizing Flare’s cross-chain technology by integrating the State Connector. This will allow users to mint an NFT on Flare with payment on another chain, e.g. Bitcoin, Doge, Litecoin.
Hugo Philion, CEO & Co-founder of Flare, commented, “We are excited to welcome Atriv to Flare to push the boundaries of AI-generated NFTs and harness Flare’s native interoperability protocols to enhance cross-chain accessibility.”
At the same time, Atriv.ai has been accepted onto Google’s Web3 start-up programme which is a huge feather in their cap.
Asked about the roadmap and future plans, Sebhatu says it is busy:
“Currently, we are doing a lot of development in our dashboard. We are also working on personalised minting pages and the marketplace will be in phase two.
“We are at the forefront of experimentation, focusing on the automated generation and creation of in-game assets using AI for developers interested in web3 gaming. Our mission is focused on simplifying the process of creation and tokenization of digital items in this rapidly evolving space,” he concludes.
