In a landmark moment for Liberland’s diplomatic efforts, the President of Liberland, Vít Jedlička, and the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, met for the first time on July 8th, 2023. This significant encounter took place during the annual gathering of the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) in the beautiful city of Zagreb, Croatia.
President Milanović, a prominent figure in European politics, shares many of the values that Liberland holds dear. This meeting marked a crucial step in fostering increased collaboration and mutual growth between our nations. President Jedlička reflected on this milestone, stating, “Our recent engagement with President Milanović in Zagreb marked a significant step in building strong, long-standing relations between our nations.”
In recognition of his unwavering commitment to public policy and diplomacy, President Vít Jedlička was honoured with a Humanitarian Award at the United Nations headquarters in New York. This award, presented by the Institute of Public Policy and Diplomacy Research and the Humanitarian Focus Foundation, is a testament to the global impact of President Jedlička’s efforts.
