Why the Key to Success for Liberland is in DAO’s and NGO’s Part 1

I have emphasized the needs for DAO’s in previous writings of mine but have not gone into any specifics as of yet though for how these DAO’s would conduct themselves. It has occurred to me though that I need to provide some details into what it is exactly that these DAO’s would be doing. As I did some more research into how some of these groups may not exactly work inside a DAO framework, but more so under the traditional NGO umbrella. I will explain this a little later in this article but allow me to explain what these groups I have in mind would be doing.

First off Liberland does have a few of these groups already in place. These groups are not directly under the authority of the Liberland government at all but are doing things that in most cases governments would be doing. My first example is the Liberland Environment Organization, this group operates as an NGO has a mission statement and their objectives. This group I could see being a major player in the future of Liberland in many different ways. These may include land conservation, protecting wildlife, establishing guidelines on sustainable building among other tasks. I saw one person in one of Liberlands chat groups a few days ago seeing the need for a group where hunters could be registered in regards to firearms regulations. The LEO could and should be that NGO that would have jurisdiction over such matters.

The Liberland Amateur Radio Association is the next group I will focus on. Full disclosure I am a member of this group under the callsign 1L7MB this group while it is limited in nature to solely amateur radio operations the very premise that it is issuing amateur radio callsigns is akin to what a national government communications body would instead of a NGO. While this group may only conduct itself in amateur radio. A NGO that encompasses all communication type services should indeed exist for the purpose of being the constituent body that would represent Liberland in the ITU, ICANN, etc.

There are many other groups that should be considered but in order to make those points at this time would make this article much too long and I will break them into several parts. In conclusion I will say that the need for NGO’s to conduct the services that most people would consider to be exclusively part of the government needs to be flipped upside down and shown that these services aren’t needed to be done by some heavily bureaucratic body but instead be done by private organizations that are non profit in nature and are devoted to their mission statement at hand.

  1. We need a new term other than NGO, because at this point, NGO just means laundering public money into private Ferraris and yachts. How about a PAPDG (Publicly Accountable Partnership with Decentralized Government) business.

This sets them apart from other businesses, whereas in the US, we let NGOs hide amongst all the other private businesses.

  2. PAPDG doesn’t really roll off the tongue though… Maybe PAPA (Publicly Accountable Partnership for All) business. It’s much easier and fun to say.
