Today’s Meeting On The Proposed Liberland Constitution

Earlier today I was able to sit in on a meeting where the Minister of Justice was presenting the latest draft of the constitution because I joined part way in I did not get to see the full presentation. But my question on the allowing members of Congress also be members of Congress and also senators was answered by the Minister of Justice.

Being an American this is not something legally allowed here but in the Westminster parliament system this quite common and usually the norm if not a prerequisite to becoming a minister.

The question of who is to be given the term of “minister” was also raised and discussed and in the case of how and if a person that is an “advisor” but also quasi minister is to be compensated the Minister of Justice said he would defer to the Supreme Court which as of the time of publishing has not been seated yet. However the President did speak to this issue and stated that he has a short list of candidates and is awaiting the approval of the Judiciary Law to formally nominate the candidates and that those who is wish to apply for a position on the Supreme are encouraged to do so still. Once the formal advertisement has been made it will be published here.

Continuing on the subject of the courts the usage of AI for arbitration and even using AI as judges was discussed. The Minister of Justice brought up several different scenarios in how courts both public and private would interact with each other and how the appeals process would work. Since I am not a lawyer and was not provided with any documentation as to how to document this fully I will defer to the Minister of Justice on that process as I know he is actively working on presenting this information to the public.

There are still some tweaks that are being made to a few areas that the President objected to, so it still remains to be seen what the final draft that will be presented on December 19th will look like but I hope it will be a document that everyone can rally behind and that it is bulletproof and not be full of loopholes like the US Constitution is or be overburdened with micromanaging via direct democracy like the Swiss Constitution and that it includes some form of a Bill of Rights is also included.
