Liberland Congressman Dorian Stern has completed the candidate survey. Below are his unedited response:
What is your username that people will use to vote for you on the Blockchain?
DJStern
1. Do you consider the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) to be absolutely non-negotiable in all Liberland legislation?
Yes
2. Should Liberland ever introduce any form of compulsory taxation (even framed as “citizenship fee” or “defense levy”)?
Never
3. Should a spouse be able to become a “Liberland National” upon marriage or if the other spouse becomes a Liberland citizen?
No
4. Do you support ratification of the currently proposed Constitution as written?
Yes, but with amendments
5. Should congress members have term limits?
No term limits
6. Should there be an explicit constitutional recall mechanism for elected officials between quarterly elections?
Yes
7. Which dispute-resolution model do you prefer as the primary system in Liberland?
Private court or arbitration
8. Should Liberland maintain any standing military or police force funded by voluntary contributions?
Purely private
9. Croatia continues occasional border incursions. Your 2026 policy is:
Our diplomacy fails for one simple reason, we have nothing to offer except stories. Once we grow our membership, and deepen our coffers, THEN we will have value we can use for diplomacy, recognition and the colonization of Liberland. I will prioritize growth.
10. Should physical settlers receive automatic free land parcels?
Yes, but only after X years of continuous settlement.
11. Are you in favor of a Universal Basic Income or “citizen dividend” paid from seigniorage/voluntary funds?
No
12. Should Liberland actively seek UN or individual state recognition in 2026–2030, even if it requires compromises?
Yes, recognition is critical
13. Are you in favor of passing laws that promote transparency and accountability on government?
Yes
14. Do think ratification of key international treaties that are considered “law of nations” is necessary for good diplomatic relations?
Yes it is
15. Would you support dual citizenship with any existing nation without restrictions?
Yes
16. Should every law, budget, and congress vote be recorded immutably on the Liberland blockchain by default?
Yes
17. Are you in favor of AI-assisted voting or AI judges in 2026 or in the future?
Yes, but only in an advisor role
18. In 300 words or less, explain the single biggest mistake you believe Liberland must absolutely avoid repeating from other libertarian/startup-society experiments (Seasteading, Próspera, Republic of Minerva, Honduran ZEDEs, etc.).
The correct amount of physical resistance to attacks by legacy governments is higher than 0.
19. Anything else you want the voters to know before the January 2026 election? (max 400 words)
Liberland has gathered a lot of attention by promoting a “better” system. We need to actually be a better system. My priority is to elevate our marketing, development and administration, launch local meetups and a Liberland marketplace so you can make and spend money within a real Liberland economy. My plan for 2026 is to mature Liberland from a nice story into a real, functional organism that is admired and respected.
