Peace Officers Not Police Officers For Liberland

I do not know how the rest of the world used to approach the concept of “disturbing the peace” but in the United States until I would say post World War II outside of very large cities most all localities had county sheriffs but their roles were much different back then. If anyone has seen the “The Andy Griffith Show” in America you know exactly what I mean. The show centered around a rural small town county sheriff who did wear a firearm on his side at all times looking for trouble, he in many cases resolved disputes between neighbors by talking to them with the occasional out of town law breaker.

But the premise was always that peaceful means of deescalation could be accomplished without everyone resorting to firearms and killing each other. We need that for Liberland and I will update this article if and when I get permission to link to a great podcast that I follow with their take on how we need to get back to peace officers versus police officers.
