Spotlight on Samuela Davidova: Pioneering Freedom as Liberland’s Global Voice and The Freeist

In the dynamic world of libertarian activism, cryptocurrency enthusiasm, and nation-building experiments, Samuela Davidova stands out as a vibrant, multifaceted force. A Czech-born thinker, speaker, writer, and doer, she has transformed her dissatisfaction with bureaucratic overreach into a global mission to promote individual sovereignty. As a key figure in the Free Republic of Liberland—serving in roles such as Press Secretary, Representative to Georgia, and international advocate—Davidova embodies the microstate’s core promise: to live and let live in a society built on voluntary cooperation, minimal interference, and personal responsibility. This Liberland Press Spotlight offers a biographical portrait of her journey, tracing her evolution from a small-town Czech upbringing to becoming one of the most visible ambassadors for the world’s freest aspiring country.

Born in a modest town in the Czech Republic, Samuela Davidova grew up in an environment that instilled both a sense of cultural pride and a growing frustration with rigid systems. Czechia’s blend of post-German precision and lingering post-Soviet inertia—marked by excessive control, low productivity, and bureaucratic stagnation—left a lasting impression. She later described it as a place where “hyper control meets nobody really works,” fueling her early questioning of the status quo. From a young age, Davidova displayed an independent streak, teaching herself languages like Russian and English alongside her native Czech (and some French), which would later prove invaluable in her international endeavors.

Her formal education took her to Charles University in Prague, one of Central Europe’s premier institutions, where she honed critical thinking and philosophical inquiry. This involved focusing such studies as Media Studies which emphasized focus on propaganda, journalism and marketing. She also joined the one year program at Film Academy in Prague – FAMU International on Film Production a program which she says she enjoyed and did their event management while attending that program. She then went on to start her master studies in IT management with cybersecurity focus and AI as the second specialization, while it was remotely during the covid measures and while doing this program she moved to Georgia. As she worked in IT by then, she gained experience of the studies at the work she was doing and quit the studies before finishing them.

Her writings and talks reveal a deep engagement with applicable philosophy—ideas that must be learned from actual work, not just theorized. This intellectual foundation merged with her growing interest in decentralization, cryptocurrency, and libertarianism, sparked by influential figures like Slovakian crypto-anarchist Pavol Lupták. Lupták, a hacker and relocation expert, introduced her to books and concepts that challenged conventional notions of borders, taxes, and governance. Through him, she discovered Liberland, the self-declared micronation founded in 2015 by Vít Jedlička on a disputed 7 km² strip of Danube riverbank between Croatia and Serbia. Liberland’s pledge to replace mandatory taxation with voluntary contributions, simplify bureaucracy via blockchain, and prioritize personal freedom resonated immediately.

Davidova’s relocation in 2020 to Tbilisi, Georgia, marked a decisive step toward living her principles. Georgia’s low 1% tax rate for certain activities, entrepreneurial vibe, and relative freedom from EU-style regulations offered a practical alternative to Czech bureaucracy. She embraced the nomadic, location-independent lifestyle, becoming a vocal advocate for remote work and digital nomadism. As a self-described “Remote Work Ambassador,” she built a personal brand around rethinking work and life potential. Her mantra—”I live what I want”—captures this ethos: questioning social constructs, removing obsolete elements, and prioritizing individual agency. In Tbilisi, she founded initiatives like The Freeist Academy and began developing “The Freeist” philosophy, a framework for broadening personal freedom through ownership of one’s life choices.

Her entry into Liberland was swift and impactful. By the early 2020s, Davidova had become a prominent voice for the project, leveraging her charisma and multilingual skills to promote it worldwide. As Liberland’s Press Secretary, she crafted messaging that highlighted the micronation’s innovative governance: opt-in laws, blockchain transparency, and a vision for 21st-century statehood. She hosted the “Liberland in Georgia” podcast, connecting the microstate’s ideals with Georgia’s emerging libertarian and entrepreneurial scene. Episodes featured Georgian innovators, emphasizing shared values of freedom and progress, while showcasing opportunities for Western audiences in the region.

Davidova’s advocacy extended far beyond podcasts. She traveled extensively as Liberland’s Representative to Georgia (a role she held formally for several years), building diplomatic and community ties. Her speaking engagements read like a global tour of frontier thinking: Blockchain Expo World in Istanbul (2023), where she presented Liberland as “building the country for the 21st century”; Nomad Capitalist events in Kuala Lumpur; Startup World Cup in Batumi; and high-profile forums in Dubai, Cyprus, Montenegro, Serbia, and beyond. In 2024, she initiated Liberland’s Space Program, aiming to democratize access to space for smaller nations and companies by integrating blockchain to reduce bureaucracy, enhance transparency, and lower costs. This forward-looking project underscores her blend of libertarian ideals with cutting-edge technology.

In media appearances, such as the ARTE documentary “Re: Liberland – A Libertarian Micronation,” Davidova emerged as a young Czech influencer and crypto enthusiast traveling the world to seek recognition for the aspiring state. She emphasized Liberland’s promise to simplify life—voluntary contributions over coercion, personal responsibility over state paternalism. Interviews, like one with BitcoinVN News, revealed her nuanced views: distinguishing between anarcho-capitalist crypto enthusiasts and minarchist libertarians (Liberland aligns more with the latter), and stressing that true ownership extends from life to money.

Her writings further amplify her influence. On platforms like Medium and her personal site (samueladavidova.com), she pens pieces on individual freedom, such as “I Want to Live Without Borders,” where she explores how deep relationships transcend geography and how infinite freedom fosters surprising closeness. She authored content for Liberland Press, covering topics from blockchain news to community stories. Her forthcoming book, “The Freeist,” promises to formalize her philosophy into actionable steps for personal sovereignty.

Davidova’s involvement in Liberland’s internal processes has been equally significant. She ran as a candidate in Liberland elections (e.g., July 2025 and earlier cycles), advocating for governance that empowers builders and thinkers. At events like the 11th Anniversary celebrations in April 2026 on the Danube, she connected with investors, founders, and thought leaders, including crypto pioneers and high-net-worth individuals. Her moderation of panels—such as on Banking 1.0 vs. 2.0 at DSC Europe in Belgrade—positions her as a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized futures.

On a personal level, Davidova maintains a balanced, intentional lifestyle. She enjoys good food, self-care, reading, and curating experiences that align with her values. Her social media presence—YouTube channel “Samuela Davidova / Individual Freedom,” Facebook, and LinkedIn—reflects this holistic approach: motivational content on freedom, travel glimpses, and Liberland updates. Living in Tbilisi (with frequent global moves), she exemplifies the borderless life she champions.

Samuela Davidova’s story is one of transformation—from a frustrated young woman in bureaucratic Czechia to a global proponent of voluntary society. Through Liberland, she has found not just a cause but a laboratory for ideas: testing minarchy, blockchain governance, and personal responsibility on a real (if unrecognized) territory. Her work inspires libertarians worldwide to question defaults, own their paths, and build freer futures. As Liberland evolves—welcoming hundreds of thousands of citizenship applicants and hosting ambitious projects like its Space Program—Davidova remains a central figure, proving that one person’s rethinking can spark a movement. In the spirit of “To live and let live,” she continues to live freedom boldly, inviting others to do the same.
