First LiberLand Event in Alicante, Spain on 29 June 2026.

As a new addition to LiberLand, we have been waiting for permission and assistance since November 2025 to organise a small event in Alicante about LiberLand, but no “go ahead” or help came.
What did we learn from it? —> Do it yourself as good as you can and try to represent LiberLand and its ideas as best as you possible can. 🙂
Due to unique “composition” around Alicante (Denia is German ;-), Benidorm is British ;-), a lot of Dutch, Italian, Polish, Argentinians, French), Alicante’s Hogueras, Mascletas, daily fireworks, world cup football on TV converging at the same time and place, …we decided spontaneously to organise the first LiberLand “Stammtisch” in Alicante about LiberLand and its core ideas 🙂

Don’t take the word for it…just google it yourself. 🙂
We put the word out late for an event on the same day. Within the first 20 minutes we had a 12 confirmations of participation; 4 German speaking, 6 Spanish and 2 English speaking individuals.
The agenda was simple;

  1. LiberLand “Stammtisch” Meeting at 9 PM, —> Short presentation of LiberLand and its core ideas followed up with plenty, and I mean, plenty open questions.
  2. Watching World-Cup German Game together at 10:30 PM,
  3. Participating in the last post Hogueras fireworks at the beach at 0:00.
    We used a place with around 30-people capacity and started with 12 confirmed participants. Since it was a spontaneous and open LiberLand event, within the first 15 minutes we have been FULL of 6 “Stammtisch”-tables of participants. People were standing outside trying to listen about LiberLand. During the evening, we met numerous individuals asking about LiberLand and the idea behind it.
    I personally have to say, that I never had so much interaction with new people in such a short time, not even when I was organising shows and exhibitions worldwide during my employment. My throat was sore the next day. But I was happy and it was worth it. 🙂
    A lot of questions came up which are currently being summarised. Unfortunately, lots of them could not be answered. But we had a lot of fun and masses of new people heard about LiberLand.
    Lessons Learned;
  4. Don’t wait, act in a good faith,
  5. People are “hungry” for new ideas/system if presented in the right unified way,
  6. A lot of questions remained open and couldn’t be answered,
  7. Keep it Simple and Short,
  8. Make it understandable to average person,
  9. Once Liberland has “a solid finalised public offer” on the table, we can address the masses.
  10. Costa Blanca and Alicante in particular, is a place which European nations are visiting between March and October each year, and where multi-cultural and multi-lingual LiberLand communities could be build very quickly. Just do some research for yourself and check flights and statistics for this region.
